Steve & Kate's Camp

Steve & Kate's Camp

At Steve & Kate’s, we believe that when you trust kids, they develop the confidence to trust themselves, and learn to use their own judgment. So we created a summer camp that puts kids in charge. Because unlike traditional schools, summer gives us the freedom to reinvent learning in a way that allows kids to make their own choices – and, of course, a few mistakes along the way.

Driven by this belief, we’ve built our summer camp to put kids in the driver’s seat of a world of possibilities. So whether your child is a natural-born storyteller with a love for animation, or a budding chef, or a hacker-in-training, or a future fashion designer, they can dive into their passions in a world free from adult judgments and expectations.

After 39 years, we are still obsessed with reinventing every summer. Because if we’ve learned one thing, it’s that when you think like a child, anything is possible.

Throughout each week, every camp will spice up their respective activity lineups with featured workshops like dance or improv; live shows like musicians or magicians; and large recreational showstoppers like rock climbing walls or bungee trampolines. We generally schedule the most jaw dropping feature on Fridays.

Each day at camp we offer at least one showstopper activity from our lineup of Recreational Features. One day it could be life-size bowling or electric smart karts designed in Silicon Valley; the next it might be an inflatable slip and slide or our custom sports arena. We bring the amusement park to camp all summer long.

We’ve got fresh lunches, healthy snacks, occasional treats, and even spa water covered. You just need to bring an appetite. Campers at check-in order an entree for the day and they’re offered a number of sides too. All of our lunches come from local vendors and are prepared just moments before lunch. Everyday we offer reliable kid faves like pizza, but we also tempt the adventurous with daily specials from all over the world. Snacks are served from 8am to 5pm.

Flexible, fun, child and parent oriented! We have been to a number of camps over the years, but Steve and Kates has to be one of the best. They make it fun and easy. There are so many activities both indoors and outdoors that the kids can choose from each day to keep them happy and stimulated. They have everything from music production with synths, filmmaking, breadmaking, playing with drones, game show with the entire camp, and sports. I really love the flexibility that you can buy days and come at any time, yet get refunds on the days that you don't use. Everything is included: care until 6pm, lunches and snacks. It's great for working parents who cannot pick their kids up at 3pm each day. The staff is friendly. They give us week daily emails with what our children produced at camp. The main thing is that our kids enjoyed the camp and came home with big smiles from day one. --E.B.

This is year 3 with Steve and Kate's Camp and we are still very happy!  A HUGE hug and thank you to camp Director, Heather Merritt and her wonderful staff, for their non-stop dedication to making Summer what it should be: safety, fun and all about the kids! The food is plentiful AND delicious, the activities are amazing paths for creativity and imagination to run wild and the counselors have about as much fun as the kids. There is really no other place we would rather be. Thank you, thank you!! -- Kelly M.
