Camp Summertime

This is such a great camp! There are several camps in the area, but the activities they offer here go above and beyond anything else.  The facility itself is amazing and makes me jealous I didn't go here when I was a kid.  The camp director and staff really care about the kids and make sure you feel comfortable when leaving your kids there.  I have a younger son and had to rely on their bus to take and pick him up.  This was a little bit out of my comfort zone leaving him in the hands of the staff and the other kids traveling to camp, but he absolutely loved it! He will be back next summer!

Where do I begin? I am not an employee of this camp, but I have worked at summer camps in the past, and there is something about this camp that really sticks out. I work for a company that shadows children with disabilities, and I am here all day. 

The camp is run by a husband and wife, who are so energetic and sweet. The counselors are all high school graduates.  You wouldn't guess that they were high schoolers. They are so great with the kids. 

There is swimming everyday and a variety of different activities they do. Everyday they do different activities (zip line, rock wall, fishing, paddle boats, horse back riding, arts and crafts, archery, and a few others.)

The kids are so sweet here and have a blast. Someday when I have kids, I would most definitely send them here. Such a fun camp!

My son and daughter have been going to Camp Summertime for years and we can't say enough good things about it. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. I've seen them bend over backwards to accommodate campers' requests as best they can. There are tons of activities every day, and each week has a different theme, so there's always something new. Kids get to experience horseback riding, archery, go carts, fishing, paddle boats, sports, as well as marine life tables, fun inflatables and even a sleepover (my son says Mark, the owner, makes the best chili dogs ever!!!) If that wasn't enough, Calamigos Ranch is truly unique location for a summer camp. It's generally several degrees cooler up there than down in the valley and there's plenty of great spaces for the kids to explore. If you're looking for the best day camp in Los Angeles - look no further than Camp Summertime!

My daughter went last year and was blossoming, they have so many cool activities such as horseback riding, boating, hiking, swimming, even fishing, My daughter came one day and asked me to buy her a fishing rod, so cool. I love the idea that kids explore nature and include fun sports. and not to mention how the staff is incredibly attentive to the kids. she cant wait for the summer to arrive and be at camp again. its an amazing camp I wish I could be a child for to experience it too.
